About Thor and Cassidy
Thor our male Rhodesian will turn 4 years old in February. He is a Light Red Wheaten Ridgeback. He is a solid 110 lbs of muscle and is the sweetest big dog you can find. Thor stands 27 1/2 inches tall at the back and 36 inches plus to the top of his head. He is the perfect height for counter surfing.
Cassidy is our 3 year old female. She is a large, strong, muscular female Rhodesian at 128 lbs. Cassidy comes from a blood line of large Rhodesians and her father was a huge 140 lb Rhodesian. Cassidy stands 26 1/2" tall at the back and about 34 inches tall at her head.
Happy, Healthy Bloodline
Our Rhodesians are a very important part of our family and we treat them as such. They have an excellent friendly temperament, are well trained, and for the most part mind well, minus the occasional begging. In reality, they are spoiled, pampered, and they know it.
Previous Litter mates - Meet Blue
Our puppies are a combination of their parents and it shows in their coloring, markings, and size. Our Rhodesians are great representations of the breed standard.
Our female Cassidy is a dark red wheaten color and our puppies tend to be dark red wheaten of an exceptional coloring with a dense fur that feels like velvet. We do also get some lighter red wheaten as well.
Size - Puppies when ready to go to their forever home are usually about 10 to 12 pounds at 8 weeks old.
At 6 Months old puppies will weigh between 60 and 80 pounds with females being at the lower end and males at the upper end of the scale. This is the teenage Rhodesian phase whose floppy ears and feet will seem to be larger that the rest of the dog.
At 12 to 18-months old, you can expect a full grown male Rhodesian to be 100 pounds or more and a female to be 85 to 90 pounds.
The adjacent picture is of 6-month old, Blue, weithing in at 80 pounds. He is from the litter born in late December 2023.
Meet handsome Sampson
The next picture is of Sampson; another good-looking boy. He is the litter mate of Blue, and currently weighs 95 lbs at 7-months old.

Puppies
Well, apparently we weren't watching good enough because Thor and Cassidy got together once again, and had another litter in late-July 2024. That means, the puppies available to go to their forever homes on or about September 25, 2024. Yay!!!!
Our puppies are known for their excellent temperament, coloring, markings, and size and, therefore, sell very quickly. If you are interested in one of our furry family members, the sooner you reach out to us the better your chances are to obtain a puppy from this litter.
We do not breed puppies for mass sale. Our puppies are very important to us and you can expect us to check in from time to time requesting pictures, updates, and life experiences. We do fill out a puppy contract and plan for the lifelong heath and happiness of our dogs.
A Furever Friend
Characteristics and behaviors or our Rhodesians.
Like most Rhodesians Thor and Cassidy share typical Rhodesian traits and behaviors.
- Rhodesians are extremely loyal to their family and even their extended family. Both Thor and Cassidy have been well socialized with many different people. They remember people and places very well and are always excited to see members of their extended family.
- It is said that Rhodesians can be somewhat aloof to people they don't know. While this can be true, we have found that our Rhodesians pay close attention to how we greet people and will often follow the same approach. A Rhodesian often looks to its owner for guidance on how to greet someone. If we approach someone as friendly and as family, they will approach that person the same. If we are standoffish about someone our Rhodesians will do the same.
- Rhodesians love to be where their owners are at all times. A Rhodesian wants to be around you all day, everyday. If you are outside in the yard your Rhodesians will be outside with you. If you are inside working in your home office your Rhodesian will be right next to you, and yes if you go the the kitchen they will follow you there too showing you just how good they can sit or beg for a treat.
- Rhodesians are always on alert.
- Rhodesians have energy and love to sleep. Our Rhodesians think sleeping and being lazy is great, but when it comes time to play, the endless energy comes out. For much of the day you can find your Rhodesian snuggled right below your feet or chair, or wherever you happen to be. But if there is a bark outside or a noise, your Rhodesian will take off at the speed of light to see what is outside, and when its play time they will be as rambunctious as any dog out there.
- Rhodesians are not dogs that bark a lot. They bark when they play with you to show you they like it and they bark playfully when you are not paying attention to them or you have a treat they want. Rhodesians will "woof" if the neighbors dog is barking to let them know who the biggest dog is from time to time. But usually a Rhodesian doesn't bark much at all.
- Rhodesians do communicate, sometimes its a yawn with sound, sometimes its a low whine type sound. It sometimes seem like they are talking to you.
- Rhodesians are very smart and stubborn and fiercely loyal.
